What Your Donation Makes Possible

Sexual violence prevention starts with education. Around 90% of child sexual abuse is committed by someone known to the child or family. Prevention education can give young people the confidence and language to speak up earlier and equip parents and adults with the knowledge to help prevent abuse before it happens.

Many people are never given the knowledge to recognise grooming, understand boundaries, or know how to respond when something feels wrong. Parents, carers, professionals and community members often want to help – but don’t always feel equipped with the right information.

At HIPS, we deliver trauma-informed prevention workshops that help people understand grooming, consent, healthy boundaries and how to respond safely when concerns arise. This includes working with parents, carers, professionals and community groups, as well as delivering age-appropriate education directly to young people.

Your support helps bring this education into schools, community spaces, organisations and local groups, making prevention knowledge more accessible to those who need it.
